A birth plan is not about scripting every moment—it’s about understanding your values, making informed choices, and feeling confident in your voice.

Start by thinking about what matters most:

  • Environment – Do you want a quiet space? Dim lighting? Music?

  • Comfort measures – Are you interested in massage, movement, hydrotherapy, or aromatherapy?

  • Medical preferences – What are your thoughts on interventions like induction, pain relief, or fetal monitoring?

  • Post-birth wishes – Consider your preferences for immediate skin-to-skin, delayed cord clamping, or feeding support.

Remember, flexibility is part of the plan. A good birth plan leaves room for the unexpected while keeping your needs front and center.

As your doula, I help you explore these options, ask the right questions, and prepare your mind and body—so you can approach birth with clarity and calm.
